More of Florida's lands could open to hunters.
The Southwest Florida Water Management District will look at a proposal Thursday night to allow hunters to use more of the agency's land.
Four of the district's areas could open.
Those areas are:
- Lake Panasoffkee in Sumter County
- Halpata Tastanaki Preserve in Marion County
- Chassahowitzka River and swamps in Citrus County
- Weekiwachee Preserve in Hernando County
The meeting is at the Lecanto Government Building at 3600 W. Sovereign Path in Lecanto at 6:00 p.m.
