[Bug] Acronis restore 64-bit Windows 7

[Bug] Acronis restore 64-bit Windows 7

I'm restoring a 64-bit Win 7 install with Acronis True Image Home using a boot disk. I've used the following builds: 2010, Build 5055, 2011, Build 6942, 2012 Build 6154. I've tried it with and without restoring the MBR. What happens is that at the end it's trying to finish but just won't. So I cancel and try it and the drive comes up like it finished, no problems. This is at work--at home I have 32-bit 7 and have done it to completion (no stall, like here) many times, and it of course also works. The only apparent difference is 32- vs. 64-bit. I guess I could live with the situation since it works, but it is a little eerie. Anyone played with restoring 64-bit 7?

Are the PC's at work the same make and model as at Home ?

It could be a BIOS setting in the PC's at work that are not letting the Acronis boot disk exit back to GUI mode or what ever at the end of the restore on the work PC's.

Different models but both Asus. Bios settings both standard default. Do XP a lot on the work machine without any problem but use version 11.8101 for that.

We will see what others have to say,
but with different motherboards and other hardware in the Work PC that stuff can also be to blame.
It could just be model/connection type of the DVD or CD player that the work PC has that is causing the hang with the Acronis boot CD.

You will most likely need to work with Acronis as it is there software automation that is failing on you Hardware for some reason.
